Abstract:
The Sprawl Trilogy, written by American writer William Gibson (1948—), taking the highly developed computer technology and biotechnology as the historical background, depicts the impact of artificial intelligence and biotechnology on human society in many aspects. It highlights the life forms and survival dilemma in the “post-human” era characterized by the information society, represents the era, looks into the future, and urges humans to examine themselves from a new perspective and critically consider who human beings are and where they are going in the “post-human” era.
