在华留学生交际障碍及交际策略使用研究

Research on Communication Barriers and Communication Strategy Utilization among International Students in China

  • 摘要: 采用口语任务访谈与即刻跟踪回访相结合的方式,对在华留学生汉语口语交际中可能遇到的交际障碍以及所使用的交际策略进行研究,集中探讨汉语水平差异是否会对在华留学生汉语口语交际策略使用产生影响。研究发现:在华留学生主要存在错误理解对方、觉得对方语速过快、汉语词汇使用不正确等10类交际障碍;在华留学生主要使用直接要求澄清、形式缩减、体势语策略、填空词、猜测等22类交际策略;汉语水平差异会对在华留学生部分交际策略选择产生影响。

     

    Abstract: Employing a combined approach of oral task interviews and immediate follow-up visits, this study investigates the communication barriers encountered by international students in spoken Chinese interactions and examines the communication strategies they employ. It focuses on exploring whether differences in Chinese language proficiency influence the utilization of communication strategies among international students in China. The research identifies ten categories of communication barriers, including misinterpretation, perceived rapid speech by interlocutors, and incorrect usage of Chinese vocabulary among others. Moreover, the study identifies twenty-two categories of communication strategies predominantly used by international students, such as direct requests for clarification, syntactic simplification, non-verbal strategies, gap-filling words, and inference. Language proficiency differences in Chinese have been observed to influence the selection of communication strategies among international students in China.
