Abstract: Classical reading courses are of practical significance for the inheritance of Chinese culture. Colleges and universities should find out the position and role of curriculum construction in the guarantee system of inheriting Chinese excellent traditional culture, pay attention to the cultivation of students’ independent learning ability in the inheritance of traditional culture, and combine the traditional culture classic guided reading course with campus reading promotion and campus culture construction. Strengthening the construction of curriculum ideology and politics, promoting the innovation of general education mode, and focusing on the inheritance of red cultural genes can be used as the innovative development path for the inheritance of Chinese excellent traditional culture in colleges and universities.
