Abstract:
While pronunciation is an important manifestation of English language proficiency, the teaching effect of pronunciation courses is not satisfying due to surface learning, mechanized learning, and isolation from other courses. Deep learning theory emphasizes learners’ active participation and strengthens the development of higher-order cognitive thinking based on deep and critical understanding. Based on the theory of deep learning, this study explores effective teaching strategies from three aspects: cognitive dimension, interpersonal dimension, and personal dimension. The aim is to promote the acquisition, internalization, and application of pronunciation for English majors, thereby improving their core professional qualities.
