非英语专业本科生英语学习投入调查研究

A Survey of Non-English Major Undergraduates’ English Learning Engagement

  • 摘要: 学习投入是评价高等教育质量的重要指标。本研究旨在采用问卷调查的方法,探讨非英语专业本科生英语学习投入的情况及其与英语学习成绩的关系。对某高校291名非英语专业本科生的调查结果显示:(1)非英语专业本科生的行为投入、情感投入和认知投入水平中等;(2)三种学习投入都与英语成绩显著正相关,且行为投入能显著正向影响成绩;(3)高分组学生的行为投入水平显著高于低分组学生;(4)女生的行为投入水平显著高于男生。

     

    Abstract: Learning engagement is an important indicator of the quality of higher education. This study aims to explore non-English major undergraduates’ English learning engagement by questionnaire and its relationship with English grades. The survey of 291 undergraduates showed that (1) their behavioral, emotional and cognitive English learning engagement were on the medium level; (2) the three specific learning engagement were significantly and positively related with English grades, and the behavioral learning engagement could significantly influence English grades; (3) high achievers’ behavioral learning engagement was significantly higher than low achievers; (4) female students’ behavioral learning engagement level was significantly higher than male students.
