Abstract: The sense of professional mission of college counselors refers to the stable and positive meaningful connection between the counselor and the counselor’s work in the process of engaging in the counselor’s professional activities, and the subjective experience of strong meaning confirmation and value recognition of the counselor’s career reflects the degree of recognition of the counselor’s professional function and value. It is not only the starting point to evaluate the counselor’s work, but also the value standard to measure the quality of the counselor’s team construction, and the effective sign to alleviate the counselor’s self-identity crisis. Its connotation is mainly manifested in the counselor’s understanding of the meaning of professional knowledge, the self-identification of professional activities and the value experience of professional practice process. To strengthen the counselor’s sense of professional mission, the counselor needs to deepen the meaning understanding and meaning creation of professional knowledge. Strengthen the understanding of “professional” attribute and enhance the self-identification of counselors; pay attention to cultural response and infiltration, and create an atmosphere of value experience.
