Abstract:
The “Situation and Policy” course in universities is a crucial curriculum that guides young college students in firming their correct political stance, correctly understanding the latest domestic and international situations, profoundly grasping the innovative theories of the Party, and accurately comprehending national policies. Promoting the reform and innovation of the “Situation and Policy” course in universities in the new era is an inevitable requirement for firmly grasping the political and strategic attributes of the course and enhancing its teaching effectiveness. However, in practical teaching, this course still faces realistic problems such as insufficiently perfect course management mechanisms, relatively monotonous teaching methods, and the need to enhance the overall strength of the course teaching team. On the new journey, we must adhere to a systematic perspective, further optimize top-level design to promote innovation in course management, strengthen the teaching faculty to promote innovation in teaching methods, emphasize student-centeredness to promote innovation in teaching evaluation methods, facilitate the integration of “large classes + small classes” to promote innovation in classroom learning methods, and leverage digital technology to drive innovation in education and teaching methods.
