Memory, Narrative, and Criticism: Polyphonic Structures in Annie Ernaux’s The Years

  • 摘要: 安妮·埃尔诺在《悠悠岁月》中将亲身经历作为写作对象,运用“无人称自传”的手法,从个人记忆中牵出集体记忆,形成独特的“自我-集体”记忆。在“自我-集体”记忆的表征中,大量借助“物”的回忆和铺陈来构建身份叙事和性别叙事。这种把自传文学的主观性和内在反省精神隐藏在人文社会科学的客观性和普遍性中的写作手法,利于在日常生活的平凡琐事中,构建出一个具有反思意味的批判维度,激发读者对社会阶层区分和社会性别压迫等现实问题产生更为深刻的认知。

     

    Abstract: The Years adopts the method of anonymous autobiography, focusing on the writing and extension of personal memories, from personal memory to collective memory and forms unique “personal-collective” memory. In the writing of memory, an interwoven pattern is adopted to hide the subjectivity and introspection spirit of autobiographical literature in the calm objectivity and wide universality of humanities and social sciences. In these complex and diverse cultural memory elements, deep social themes about social class differentiation and gender oppression are excavated. At the same time, in this way, a more reflective critical dimension in the ordinary trivia of daily life is built, which will not only enable readers to have more rich thinking, but also further stimulate profound discussion on social issues.
