Abstract:
Known as one of the three great scenic spots for sightseeing in the south of Yangtze River, Lingxiao Platform was widely favored by literati during the Tang and Song dynasties. Li Bai and his admirers ascended the platform to recall the elegance of ancient predecessors, embodying the intergenerational inheritance of Lingxiao Platform as a literary landscape. Xu Hun and his followers lamented the rise and fall of dynasties upon the platform, endowing it with the contemporary sentiments of family and nation. Literary circles led by Guo Xiangzheng and Wu Fei also devoted themselves to the preservation, renovation and literary creation themed on Lingxiao Platform. The interaction between Tang-Song poetic texts and the physical landscape has granted Lingxiao Platform enduring vitality and left rich cultural memories for later literary creation.
