Abstract:
Based on the complete works of Hemingway, this article sorts out the author’s Chinese imprints:displaced, persecuted and destitute overseas Chinese compatriots dwelling in foreign lands; the beautiful and nostalgic Hong Kong; the city of Shanghai where an American soldier’s life was destroyed due to infection with syphilis. Chinese delicacies and beauties are scattered in the corners of his works. Though the space devoted to China in his works is limited, Hemingway's respect for and interest in Chinese culture ran through his entire life.
