Abstract:
As a representative national-level intangible cultural heritage in northern Anhui, Huaibei Flower-Drum Opera is confronted with dual dilemmas in its inheritance: the limitations of the master-apprentice inheritance system and the ossification of performing formulas. An empirical study on innovative paths empowered by new media technologies proves that technological intervention helps standardize performing movements and improve communication efficiency, yet risks of instrumental rationality eroding the essence of traditional opera art should be guarded against. This research indicates the adaptability of digital technologies derives from the dynamic coupling between digital media and traditional performing formulas. On one hand, the aesthetic core featuring the harmony of physical forms and inner artistic conception must be preserved; on the other hand, an open and shared inheritance ecosystem needs to be established.
