Abstract:
As a crucial platform for fostering college students' ideological, political and legal literacy, university ideological and political courses directly determine the legal accomplishment and ethical standards of future social builders. Embedded with distinctive ideological and political attributes, Chinese rule-of-law stories profoundly interpret China's fine traditional legal culture, comprehensively summarize China's law-based governance practices, and serve as an important underpinning for constructing China's rule-of-law discourse system. Nevertheless, the legal education delivered in current university ideological and political courses is plagued by unclear curriculum orientation, insufficient professional competence among teachers and a lack of innovative narrative modes for legal content. Telling Chinese rule-of-law stories well stands as a key strategy to resolve such predicaments. To explore the practical path of telling Chinese rule-of-law stories well within university ideological and political courses for the New Era, universities ought to clarify educational positioning and integrate & refine story materials, adhere to principled guidance and accurately grasp core concepts, target key links and adopt targeted measures, so as to improve the practical teaching effectiveness of legal education in ideological and political courses.
