Abstract:
The synchronized advancement of ideological and political theory courses and the armament with the Party's innovative theories in universities consists of two basic paradigms. The first is the unified advancement based on incorporating the Party's innovative theories into teaching materials, and the second is the timely advancement based on the emergence of the latest achievements of the Party's innovative theories. The two paradigms are complementary and integrated as a whole. The former embodies the universal principles for synchronized advancement, while the latter reflects the innovative practices in this regard. However, in the practical teaching of ideological and political theory courses, the timely advancement still has deficiencies in keeping pace with new theories, conducting in-depth interpretation and realizing effective transformation, falling short of the higher requirements for the development of such courses under the new circumstances. Therefore, it is essential to give full play to the core role of teachers of ideological and political theory courses, and continuously improve their awareness, professional quality and capabilities for synchronized advancement. It is also necessary to optimize supporting mechanisms for synchronized advancement to mobilize teachers' initiative and promote the effective integration of the Party's innovative theories into classroom teaching.
