Abstract:
The construction of the curriculum system for ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities constitutes a core component of the reform and innovation of such courses in the new era. It is also an inevitable requirement for disseminating the Party's innovative theories, coping with struggles in the ideological sphere, fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, and realizing the inheritance and innovation of college ideological and political theory courses. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, these courses have undergone consistent innovations in course objectives, course contents and course types. In terms of course objectives, their political stance has been elevated and value dimensions diversified, forming an integrated objective system led by overarching goals and covering all educational stages. The integrity, structural rationality and inter-stage coherence of course contents have been steadily improved. Course types have grown increasingly diverse, forming a framework integrating compulsory and elective courses, theoretical and practical courses, as well as online and offline courses. To align with the intensive development of ideological and political theory courses, colleges and universities must keep pace with the theoretical armament of the Party's innovative theories, improve the systematic and structural layout of curricula, optimize curriculum contents and frameworks, and continuously advance the innovative development of the curriculum system.
