Abstract:
Generative artificial intelligence is reshaping the ecology of the translation industry, and AI application competence has become an essential quality for translation practitioners, which calls for urgent corresponding reforms in translation education. Based on UNESCO's
AI Competency Framework for Students (AICFS) and the professional requirements of the translation industry, this paper constructs an AI literacy competency framework for translation majors at different learning stages along the progression levels of Understand-Apply-Create, covering four dimensions: a human-centered AI translation mindset, ethics and responsibility of AI translation, AI techniques and applications in translation, and AI translation system design. The framework facilitates the integration of technological and humanistic literacy among translation talents, promotes the intelligent transformation of translation education, and provides references for cultivating compound translation talents and building international communication capacity.
