Abstract: Based on the theory and methods of Criticism Metaphor Analysis, this paper analyzes the intertextual metaphor of Sino-US diplomatic language and combined the specific background of history to discuss the bilateral relationship between China and America.The application of the intertextural metaphor in the diplomatic discourse, to some certain extent, activates the cognitive mode of the reader to expand the comprehension space of the discourse and to realize the purpose of understanding the discourse contents and make the readers understand the real meaning of the diplomatic discourse.
