Abstract: Windows in Huizhou building are characterized by sophisticated selection of materials, fine carving and compact structure. A large number of historical allusions and religious themes are carved in window lattice. Through the symbolic approach, window lattice can meet the functional and aesthetic needs, reflecting aesthetic ideal to nature and indifference to wealth and showing symbolic and enlightening aesthetic value.
