Abstract: Laozi's simple aesthetic thought has exerted an imperceptible influence on the transformation of the Song Dynasty's politics, social environment and the aesthetic notions of poets and scholars. Unique aesthetic orientation and aesthetic thought of the Song Dynasty's culture and art have been formed, providing an important aesthetic notion for the ceramic craftsmen. Therefore, the ceramic art of Song Dynasty follows the design concept of function first and simplicity, which presents a plain and simple artistic style.
