Abstract: After 70 years, the artistic concept, creative theme and style language of oil painting creation in six provinces of East China have changed, which has contributed many excellent works to the creation of oil painting in China and played an important role in regional culture. However, there are still gaps in the volumes and data of oil painting creation in the six provinces of East China. Therefore, creators in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shandong should study the language and techniques of oil painting, explore the connotation of the subject matter, and keep the advantages of the volumes of oil painting works. Creators in Anhui, Fujian and Jiangxi should combine the advantages of the local subject matter, develop creative perspectives, improve the output volumes of oil painting works, and narrow the gap with the former provinces.
