工程教育专业认证背景下大学英语语音现状个案研究

A Case Study of College English Pronunciation in the Context of Engineering Education Accreditation

  • 摘要: 在工程教育专业认证背景下,以安徽工业大学2017级非英语专业大一学生为研究对象,通过问卷调查,对英语语音基础现状、对开设语音课的态度以及在语音学习中的困难这三个方面展开调研。结果显示,90%以上的受访者在中小学并没有系统全面地学习过语音知识;61.7%的受访学生认为有必要在非英语专业新生中开设语音课;73.5%的受访者认为有必要单独开设英语语音选修课;就语音学习中的困难而言,受访者认为最难发的英语音标为双元音,其次是鼻音,随后是浊辅音。

     

    Abstract: Under the context of engineering education accreditation, taking 2017 non-English Major Freshmen of Anhui University of technology as the research object, a questionnaire survey is made to investigate the present situation of English pronunciation foundation, the attitude towards opening pronunciation course and the difficulties in pronunciation learning. Results show that: first, more than 90% of the respondents have not systematically and comprehensively learned pronunciation knowledge in primary and secondary schools; second, 61.7% of the respondents think it is necessary to set up pronunciation course for non-English major freshmen; third, 73.5% of the respondents think it is necessary to set up an optional English pronunciation course independently; last, as far as the difficulties in pronunciation learning are concerned, the most difficult English phonetic symbol is diphthong, consecutively followed by nasal sound and voiced consonant.
