Abstract: Local application-oriented colleges and universities are the backbone of supporting and serving the national innovation driven development strategy. It is the strategic goal of local colleges and universities to build local high-level application-oriented colleges and universities with distinctive characteristics. Local application-oriented colleges and universities should accurately seek the position, fix the “root” in the local, fix the “position” in the application, focus on improving enrollment attraction, graduates' competitiveness, resource acquisition ability, knowledge productivity, face the future, keep innovation, and cultivate practical, applied, compound and entrepreneurial talents.
