The Limitations of Skopos Theory in the Translation of Special Texts

摘要: 功能学派的翻译目的论认为，和人类的其他活动一样，翻译是一种有目的的行为；目的论被广泛用于指导应用型文本的翻译。翻译目的论并不具有普遍适用性，目的论在一些功能复杂的特殊文本，如法律文本、文学作品、诗歌等的翻译中具有一定的局限性。

Abstract: Skopos Theory of functionalism holds that translation,like other human activities,is a purposeful behavior;Skopos theory is widely used to guide the translation of applied texts.Skopos theory does not have universal applicability.It has certain limitations in the translation of some special texts with complex functions,such as legal texts,literary works and poems.
