Abstract:
Taking Zhangzhou as an example, this paper combines industrial enterprise data with input-output data to examine its impact on the high-quality development of Zhangzhou's manufacturing industry from a servitization perspective. Overall, servitization has not yet played a theoretical role in promoting the high-quality development of Zhangzhou's manufacturing industry as it should, and may have a phase of adverse effects. However, the impact effects of domestic and imported servitization are highly heterogeneous for different types of manufacturing industries. Among them, import servitization has a significant contribution to the shift to high-quality development in specialized manufacturing industries. Policies such as subsidies and financing incentives are likely to have a negative incentive for manufacturing firms to shift to higher quality development, while improvements in human capital can significantly facilitate the shift to higher quality development. Accordingly, the introduction and use of imported services should be targeted, and policy measures such as subsidies and financing incentives should be used with caution, while the level of human capital in Zhangzhou should be actively promoted in order to stab into the manufacturing industry to turn to high-quality development.
