Abstract: Taking the national independence of India as the era background, the works by Anand and other writers in the early Indian English fiction give the shape of characters with the thought of Gandhi, describe the national independence movement of Indian people under the guidance of Gandhi's thought, and publicize through the works the thought of Gandhi and his political strategies.
