Abstract:
This paper conducts a comprehensive investigation on the employment status of 10 707 unemployed college and vocational school graduates in Anhui Province from 2020 to 2022. The research finds that phenomena such as “slow employment”, “stable employment”, and “returning home fever” have emerged or intensified; online recruitment may become the main recruitment method. Through logistic regression analysis, it is found that the employment mindset of unemployed graduates, the degree of employment preparation, and the recognition of the effectiveness of online recruitment have a significant positive impact on their employment. At the same time, it is found that female graduates are more proactive in seeking employment than male graduates, and the employment enthusiasm is inversely proportional to the educational level. Suggestions: The government and schools should organize the promotion of online recruitment and job-seeking information; policies should play a leading role in attracting college graduates to seek employment locally; achieve precise matching between employers’ recruitment needs and students’ demands; innovate channels and methods for students to participate in work internships; and pay attention to guiding college and vocational school graduates to establish a correct employment mindset.
