Abstract: The newly organized folk song Thrashing Wheat was adapted on the basis of traditional folk songs. The new song expanded the form structure and added or subtracted the range of melody of the old folk songs' main structure of melody, form of tunes, tonality and methods, which maintained the original style and melody and met the demands of modern music appreciation at the same time.
