Abstract: Due to the complexity of production practice in metallurgical factory, factories are unwilling to accept students to practice, meanwhile students' independent consciousness is weak, and sometimes, the practice is unrelated with theory, and the reports of practice are almost the same, which results in unsatisfactory effects.To promote the effectiveness of practice, university should strengthen the cooperation with enterprises, establish practice base, reform classroom teaching, learn advanced international technology, stimulate students' interests, enhance the practice management, standardize practice system, reform examination mode, and establish reasonable evaluation mechanism.
