主位推进视阈下的旅游语篇汉英翻译

On C-E Translation of Tourist Texts from the Perspective of Thematic Progression

  • 摘要: 根据主/述位理论和主位推进理论对国内知名景点源语和译语宣传材料中主位推进的配置模式进行对比分析, 发现汉英两种语言在对相同景点进行介绍时, 主位推进模式的类型和相对使用频率存在极大共性。译者在符合译语表达习惯的前提下尽可能保留源语的主位推进模式才能更好地传递原文信息, 再现源语宣传材料的写作意图和表达效果。

     

    Abstract: This paper makes a comparison between Chinese and English versions of tourist texts on the basis of themerheme theory and thematic progression theory.It shows that the thematic progression patterns and their relative frequencies in both languages are similar.As a result, only when translators maintain the original thematic progression patterns as much as possible, can they deliver the original information and reproduce the original intention and effect in their translations.
