Abstract: In the history of British literature, Thomas Hardy is a poet of advanced ecological consciousness which not only focuses on the relationship between natural society and human society, but also on the observation and introspection of the crisis of relationship between people in the capitalist society.Hardy's criticism of ugly reality and appeal to equal and friendly human relation in his poems reflect his social ecology consciousness.
